THE CHARGER

The battery charger in the center pulls everything toward it — your tool, your opponent, and all fasteners. Crash into it and your tool is destroyed! The charger overheats with each kill, growing larger and pulling harder. Every few kills, the charger SWAPS BRANDS — when it's YOUR brand's charger, gravity hits you harder!

FASTENERS

You start with 18 fasteners. They curve toward the charger — fire accordingly. Fasteners wrap around the edges of the arena (like your tool) and last for 3 seconds before expiring.

Opposing fasteners destroy each other! Head-to-head volleys will cancel out, so timing and angles matter.

Watch out for your own fasteners! Fasteners wrap around the arena and can hit you after a brief grace period. Be careful firing toward the edges.

Orbit the charger to restock! Flying near the charger slowly reloads your fasteners alongside your voltage. The closer you orbit, the faster you reload.

Fasteners also refill for both players when all fasteners are spent (both tools at zero AND no fasteners in flight). That tense pause while the last few fasteners expire? That's by design.

VOLTAGE & THE CHARGER

Milwaukee runs at 18V, DeWalt at 20V. Thrusting drains your voltage. Run dry and you're just drifting — no braking, no dodging.

Recharge by flying close to the charger! The closer you orbit, the faster you charge — both voltage AND fasteners. A faint dashed ring shows the charge range. As the charger grows stronger, charge rates increase — but so does the pull.

WARNING: Crash into the charger and your tool is destroyed! The opponent scores a point and you respawn after a delay. Keep your distance.

EMERGENCY RECALL

Teleport randomly — but your tool might get recalled! There's a 10% – 33% chance of catastrophic failure, scaling with charger power (10% at minimum power, 33% at maximum). The stronger the charger pulls, the deadlier the recall. Use it as a last resort, not a routine maneuver.

SCORING & WINNING

You earn a point whenever your opponent dies — regardless of how. Fastener hit, charger death, recall malfunction, self-hit, or collision all count. The score is displayed at the top center as your score / 50.

First to 50 wins the jobsite! A dramatic victory scene plays, showing the final score and game duration. Both players return to the main menu afterward.

JOBSITE LEGENDS

The top 5 scores are tracked on the Jobsite Legends leaderboard, visible on the main menu. If your winning score qualifies, you'll be prompted to enter 3-letter initials after the victory scene.

New high scores require admin approval before appearing on the public leaderboard. Until approved, your entry will show as "AWAITING APPROVAL".

Scores are ranked by: highest score first, then fewest opponent kills (so a 50–10 win ranks above 50–30), then earliest date.

DEATH PENALTY

Each death costs you: 10% of your max voltage and 1 fastener. Dying repeatedly drains your resources, making each respawn harder. However, you'll always respawn with at least 25% voltage and 25% fasteners — enough to fight back, but you'll want to swing by the charger to top up.

ARENA

The arena wraps in all directions (torus topology). Fly off the right edge and you appear on the left. Same for top/bottom. Fasteners wrap too. There are no walls — only the charger is deadly terrain.

TIPS & STRATEGY

Use the Charger's Pull
Fire fasteners that curve around the charger to hit opponents on the other side. The pull bends everything — use it as a weapon.
Don't Go Full Throttle
A fast tool is hard to steer. Short bursts of thrust give you more control and conserve voltage.
Orbit the Charger
A stable orbit lets you aim without spending voltage, and recharges both your voltage and fasteners. Let the pull do the work of keeping you moving.
Fire in Short Bursts
2-3 fasteners at a time. Spraying wastes ammo and you'll be defenseless waiting for the refill.
Watch the Charge Level
As charger power climbs, orbits tighten and fasteners curve harder. Adjust your aim and keep your distance from the charger.
Counter-Fire
Fire fasteners into incoming fire. They'll destroy each other, saving your tool. Timing and angles matter.
Save Emergency Recall
The failure chance starts at 10% and climbs to 33% as charger power increases — it's always a gamble, and gets worse late-game. Only recall when the alternative is certain death.
Manage Your Voltage
If you run out while your opponent still has charge, you're a sitting duck. Try to match their spending rate.
Use the Edges
Wrapping across the screen can surprise your opponent. Fire a fastener off-screen and it reappears behind them.
